My dearest friend Hannah, also known as 'Hansy Pants', has given me the special privilege to be her Maid of Honor! I'm still feeling aftershocks from her recent engagement, the bling bling on her finger, and now this! I seriously, literally, want to cry every time it hits me that she's getting married to her fiance! I am really trying hard to hold tight my leaky faucet of (joyful) tears. : )
She asked us to be her bridesmaids at David's Bridal when we scheduled to shop for her dress. It was so funny though because the three of us weren't 100% sure if we were part of the bridal party since Hannah never asked us! But it turned out that she was purposely waiting to ask us on this particular day!

And then, she popped the question through these handwritten cards! "Will you be my maid of honor/bridesmaids?" Of course, WE SAID YES! ; )

And now, behind-the-scenes of Hansy Pants bridal fashion show!

I don't want to reveal her fullest look (let's save that for the actual day of), but doesn't she look gorgeous already? : ) I look forward to journeying with her and Jason as they prepare to become one flesh as husband and wife!

No words can fully express my deep joy and gratitude for God's greatest gift to us. But with my puny human words, I'd like to thank Him not only for this special day of the year, but every day of every year and the eternal years to come, for this Good News of Jesus Christ.

Thank you, Jesus...

...for Your amazing and unconditional love. You define what true love is. It is that You gave up your rights of Majesty and Power to become lowly as us, humans, to die on the cross so that we might be saved from our well-deserved punishment of eternal death. By Your blood, we have been ransomed and have been given a new life in You as You were raised to life.

Thank you, Father...

...for Your amazing grace. You have forgiven our sins and forget our wrongdoings. You have adopted us into Your family and called us to be Your sons and daughters.

Thank you, Lord...

....for Your amazing Kingship. You are almighty, holy, and righteous! You are worthy to be praised and worthy to be glorified! May you reign this Kingdom forever and ever!!!

Jesus, You truly are the greatest gift and blessing in this whole universe. I pray that my whole heart and soul and mind and body would give You all the honor and glory and worship on this earth and in the new heaven to come! Amen!

I bought my first ever DSLR camera! A Nikon D5000 with 3 different lenses for a good deal from a friend. I can't express to you how much I've wanted this and I've waited 8 years (way, way) too long. Now, it's mine!

I already had a date planned with my two little sheep, Lily and Irene, to grab some lunch and catch up at Seal Beach. Then, to test out my new baby, we walked around Main Street, laughing and giggling about finding places to shoot at and things to shoot! Okay, honestly, I'm a noob and I wouldn't call myself a 'photographer' yet, but it was just so much fun hanging with these girls and taking photos of them. Also, I'm still learning this post-processing aspect of photography... Hehe~

So this year, I am embarking on my first full scale design project at my work. I am quite ecstatic about this because it has been my dream since childhood to design interiors! And guess what? The client that I will be designing for owns a bakery that creates organic treats and pastries for dogs! DOGS!! Check out what they are all about, here! Right now, they have 3 different stores in LA and our company is going to design and remodel their interiors. Yay, so excited! I've already started Pinteresting some ideas and I just can't help but to be drawn to the natural, rustic concept for this bakery. Here are the top Pinspirations from my board!

1. Komşufırın Bakery via Retail Design Blog
I love the white tile wall contrasting with the wooden counters and shelves. The black menu boards are killer too! Definitely going to borrow that idea.

2. via DIY Home and Design
Love the exposed lighting in this one and the reclaimed wood bar face. The stainless counter top is not a bad idea either. And again, the white tile wall!

3. via Studio M
Even with the white tiled bar face, the store feels homey and inviting, don't you think? Look at that bread display!

4. via Archilovers
Similar menu board concept as in one of the previous photos but with wood instead of black chalkboard finish. This bread display idea is great also. I could just imagine filling them with dog treats for people to grab and go!

5. via The Drill Hall Emporium
Mixing wood and metal is the perfect formula for creating beautiful display shelving.

Well, those are my preliminary ideas. Check out my Pinterest board here, if you'd like to see more! Also, if you'd like to see the end results of the new and improved dog bakery, stay tuned! More updates to come.

Two weeks ago, I went to a one week seminar called Good News School run by an organization called World Mobile Mission. From 5:30am to 11:00pm, all we did was listen to sermon lectures, eat three meals in between with occasional short breaks and sleep, everyday for 6 days and 5 nights straight. We barely had any free time to rest or mingle with other people so that we'd only focus on the message being taught and really take it to heart. It was pretty intense, but it was so good!

This Good News School wasn't just a "school" teaching what the good news of Jesus Christ is. It was rather a place where they made us stand before the gospel and truly die to ourselves. I learned a lot that week about how lightly I've been regarding the gospel that Jesus Christ has given to me. I never realized how little faith I had in Him and I had been fooling myself into thinking highly of myself and my faith in Him. I was challenged to rethink and examine my life as a newborn Christian in the 21st century.

Am I truly seeking His will and not my own? Am I truly living out the good news He's given me? "[That] I have been crucified with Christ. [That] it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:20)

Then, I came to ask myself, do I truly love the gospel more than what the world offers? Is the gospel truly enough to me?... I had to think long and hard about this... I wanted to be honest with myself and to God. In my mind, yes, of course, Jesus is the only thing I need in this life! But I have to admit, in my heart, it may have been only half true... "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matthew 6:21) I examined the treasures in my life, and yes, Jesus is one of them, but not the only one... there are many others: my hobbies, my dreams, my work, my friends and family, my future, my plans, my skills and talents, my reputation, my honor and my glory.

So I stood before the cross, knelt down and bowed my head...

I confessed, God, You gave it all, Your one and only Son, Jesus Christ. And Jesus, You gave it all, Your one and only crown of majesty. The most I can give You is my life in return for the blood You have sacrificed for me.

With Christ, I have been crucified on that cross. And with Christ, I have been raised to new life. Now with faith from the Son of God, I live this life in the flesh giving myself fully and wholeheartedly to God the Father who is worthy of all honor and glory, forever and ever. Amen.
